A delightful period cottage along the Glyn y Mel road, which is part of the old fishing village and harbour of Lower Town, Fishguard. The cottage is just a few minutes walk from the quay and slipway, where there are excellent launching facilities for sailors, windsurfers etc. Local fishermen often provide fishing trips for those who wish to catch their supper. The cottage is also ideally situated for the keen walkers and is conveniently close to the beautiful and spectacular Coastal Path and the peaceful countryside and valleys of Cwm Gwaun.
This traditional Welsh stone cottage has been attractively pink washed. There is a small garden with shrubs, flowers and a bench in front, and a garden and patio to the rear, which is private, sheltered and forms an ideal sun trap. The entrance opens into a large living/dining area which is comfortably furnished with easy chairs, sofa, colour TV, pine dining table and chairs, well stocked book shelves and items of occasional furniture; there is also an attractive open fireplace at one end; the small kitchen has been well designed with fitted cupboards, electric cooker, fridge, microwave oven, dishwasher, automatic washing machine and tumble drier. The bathroom contains a suite of bath with overhead shower, wash hand basin and WC. The main bedroom contains a double bed, fitted cupboards and pine furniture, the second bedroom has a double bed and 3' bunk beds. Bedlinen is provided for the beds which have duvets. A cot and highchair are available. There is night storage heating on the ground floor and there are electric heaters in the other rooms. Electricity will be charged according to use. Regrettably no pets. There is parking space at the front. Towels available on request - £3 per guest.
