Overlooking the sandy beach in the picturesque fishing village of Abercastle is this very attractive colour washed cottage. From the door step of the property there are lovely walks along the Coastal Path which runs either side of the sandy beach and this cottage is a well situated for exploring the spectacular St David's peninsula. From the beach visitors can see the local fishermen going out to sea for their daily catch and their boats add a splash of colour and interest to the sandy bottom harbour. The cottage offers a perfect holiday retreat in the heart of the Pembrokeshire National Park.
The front door leads you into the porch (ideal for storing your walking boots) and through into the spacious kitchen / breakfast room, which is light and airy and features a logburning stove and a large pine dining table with matching chairs. The kitchen is well-equipped with fitted units, built in electric cooker, hob, microwave oven and fridge with small freezer. The spacious ground floor bedroom has twin beds and Shaker style bedroom furniture. The ground floor bathroom contains a newly fitted modern suite of an extra large double ended bath with electric shower over, wash hand basin and WC. The staircase leads up to the sitting and dining room and the en-suite double bedroom which is spacious containing a double bed and matching bedroom furniture. The en suite shower room contains shower cubicle with electric shower, wash hand basin and WC. Pretty co-ordinating bedlinen is provided for the beds which all have duvets. The sitting and dining room overlooks the beach with ever-changing sea views that can be enjoyed from this pleasant room. The logburner is ideal for those chillier evenings and the room is furnished with a comfortable leather Chesterfield settee and arm chairs, colour TV with Sky Freeview, video and CD Hi Fi stereo system. The dining area is furnished with a solid pine table and matching chairs. There is a night storage heater and two oil filled electric radiators in the cottage. Logs are included in the rental. An automatic washing machine and tumble drier are available in the adjacent outbuilding. There is a small stream that runs through the side of the garden therefore supervision of young children is necessary. There is a patio area to the side of the property and garden furniture is provided along with a barbecue. A travel cot and highchair are provided. There is ample parking for two cars. Up to two pets are welcome but must be kept to the hard floor areas. We ask that guests do not smoke within the house. A basket of logs is provided for your arrival, thereafter available locally. Towels are available on request - £3 per guest.
